My motivation to become a Portfolio Executive was after a conversation with Charles. The vision shared on transforming from a problem solver to a strategic advisor is intriguing. I am at the first step in learning and understanding how to transfer my corporate experience into a strategic portfolio executive. After many years at some of the largest software companies involved in leading strategic efforts, I am looking at sharing the disciplined and curious approach I embraced with other organisations.
As a consultant, my first success was transforming a professional services firm from a reactionary revenue strategy to instilling more discipline in messaging and go-to-market strategies to establish a long-term value and sustainable revenue position.
Frequently, I hear the need for immediate transformation rather than transformation based on future needs. As part of that, I focus more on future vision and the patience required to establish repeatable success while balancing the importance of immediate needs.
I hope to impact organisations that desire sustainable success without complexity. My corporate success was rooted in simplicity and execution. A strategy must be clear and engaging to execute. Too often, complexity clouds one’s vision, thus impacting success. I look to be the alternative to complexity.
